An Open Letter

From the

New York State Volunteer Firefighter’s Bowling Association, Inc.

In keeping with our mission to promote the sport of bowling, the Association announced new and expanded eligibility requirements beginning with the 53rd. annual tournament of 2010.

As in the past, the tournament is open to all Firematic and Rescue Personnel. However, the tournament was opened to those in Fraternal Organizations. This would include but not be limited to, Elks and Moose lodge members, American Legion members, Union Members, etc. With the eligibility requirement expansion, the association experienced greater tournament participation accompanied by an increased prize fund. It's a win-win for all.

The complete eligibility requirements can be found under the tournament information tab on the left under rules. Get a head start and send your application in early. This will ensure the squad, date, and time that is right for your team.

If you belong to a Fire or Rescue Company, be it volunteer, paid or auxiliary. If you call a Fraternal Organization your home. If you love the sport of bowling consider this announcement our invitation to submit an application and come join us. We promise you the camaraderie could not be any better and the enjoyment is priceless.

                                                                                     Fraternally Yours,

                                                                                     The Officers and Directors

The Association is looking for interested bowlers from all areas of the New York Region and Long Island who would like the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors. With each new member comes a new idea to put the Association's tournament in the forefront of bowling events. If you are that bowler, write a letter of intent and contact one of the directors listed. Now is the time to make your ideas count. And as always, thank you for your support.
