An Open Letter

From the

New York State Volunteer Firefighter’s Bowling Association, Inc.

In keeping with our mission, to promote the sport of bowling, the Association is pleased to announce the new and expanded eligibility requirements, beginning with the 53rd. annual tourment of 2010.

Of course the tournament is open to all Firematic and Rescue Personnel but now we are opening the tournament to those in Fraternal Organizations, who also enjoy the sport of bowling, as well. This would include but not limited to, Elks and Moose lodge members, American Legion members, Union Members, etc. With the expansion of the eligibility requirement the association is anticipating greater participation which of course translates to an increased prize fund. It's a win, win for all.

The complete eligibility requirements can be found under the tounament information tab on the left under rules. You can also now download an application for the 2010 tournament. Get a head start and get your application in eary. This way you get the squad, time and date that is right for you.

So, whether you belong to a Fire or Rescue Company, be it volunteer, paid or auxiliary. Or you call a Fraternal Organization your home, if you love the sport of bowling consider this announcement our invitation to submit an application and come join us. We promise you the camaraderie could not be any better and the enjoyment is priceless.

                                                                                     Fraternally yours,

                                                                                     The Officers and  Directors

Love the sport of bowling? Enjoy the competition at tournaments? Would you like to see a greater participation of teams and increased prize fund? Then you are the bowler we are looking for. The Association is looking for interested bowlers from all areas of the New York Region and Long Island who would like the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors. With each new member comes a new idea to put the Association's tournament in the forefront of bowling events. If you are that bowler, write a letter of intent and contact one of the directors listed. Now is the time to make your ideas count. And as always, thank you for your support.
